Boston Pride

I promised myself before starting this blog that I wouldn’t be lazy and wouldn’t take forever to write my entries — that way the information here would always be up to-date.

Still, Boston Pride was a week ago and I haven’t written one single paragraph about it. It’s not because I didn’t have anything to write about, but the amount of things to write about.

As I mentioned before, I was invited along with my friend Shane to walk the parade on Saturday with celebrity guest Carey Sherrell from “The Apprentice: Season 6.” Carey was “fired” last season by Donald Trump for being on a team responsible for, in Donald’s opinion, a hideous swimsuit that no one, besides Carey, would wear. It was tight and revealing and Trump said no one but a gay man would ever wear it. Carey is out to prove Trump wrong and launched his own line of swim wear.  We got invited to walk the parade with Carey and also model some of his designs.

We were running a little late (shock!) but so was the parade :-p … It was quite exciting to meet Carey. He was very friendly and such a funny guy. He could crack anyone up. If it wasn’t for the freezing 60F weather with 15 mph winds   it would have been a blast, but we were only wearing these tiny swimsuits… check it out.

It wasn’t fun at all walking around in that… my nipples were so hard I thought they could kill someone if I ran into them by mistake lol Nonetheless, the parade was a blast. People were cheering, laughing, taking pictures with us… we had the hood of Carey’s Volvo to warm us up but that was it.

Because we were at the front of the parade we still had to wait until the whole thing ended to get on stage and present his designs. Shane, as usual, had his very hot butt hanging out again ;-)

That same night we went to Avalon (a nightclub in Boston) where the Military Ball was being held (I know, it sounds like deja vu – second time for military garb for me in less than a month). At least this time I wasn’t working the party. Well, let’s say I wasn’t serving drinks. I was working the party in other ways!  ;-)   The music was great with DJ Mike Cruz and also Dena, this DJ from Providence that rocks your socks – This girl is gonna be HUGE!!!

The next day it was time to head back to Boston. Shane and I were dancing at the block party and once more we were late. It sounds like it’s second nature for us to be late, but really both of us really hate being late for things.

As we walked in, this motorcycle cop put his hand on my chest and said – “You two ‘boys’ were riding on the hood of a Volvo at the parade yesterday, right?” Shane and I both looked at each other like “Uh oh…we must be in trouble. What did we do wrong?” Before we said anything, the cop said “Guys, that was HOT!” Whoa!  And we were off to a good start.

Carey  was supposed to be gone that same morning, but he missed his flight and went to the block party. He turned out to be a spokesman for Boston Pride this year. Doors always open for charismatic people and while Donald Trump might have fired him, Carey is just getting started. Since he was there for the block party, someone decided he should host a mini fashion show of some of his collection. This time there were 6 of us and the weather was so much better. Sunny and warm, light winds … a perfect New England Sunday.

Unfortunately, I didn’t bring my camera and I have no idea who the photographer shooting the block party was…so, sorry. No pictures of the mini fashion show, but trust me, it was great! As I gather content for this entry I still might be able to post a picture or two, but quality will definitely be compromised … oh well, next time I won’t forget my camera.

After the mini-fashion show, we set out to dance our asses off again. This time with DJ Tracy Young from Miami – she’s great too. We got into everything that day — you name it and it hit the dance floor — water guns, confetti, body paint, lube … it was a mess, but a good mess was had by all.

Later that night we went back to Avalon for the closing party.  Again, it was fun but we were so tired and I was running on Red Bull and not much else. When the party was finally over, it was a drag to come back home. I was hung over that Monday for sure, but by Wednesday it’ll all be over and it will be time to recharge batteries for Providence Pride (which can be a lot of fun too).  Let’s wait and see.

Til next time

Hey Luke…you boys look mighty cute and HOT in Casey’s swim suits. The Donald should not talk….he would look pretty awful in one of Casey’s creations…ick.
However, as I said YOU look fab. And clearly everyone was having a great time at Boston Pride…you jaw must have hurt by the end of the day from smiling all day long. But then, you know I love that smile of yours :)
More blogging and bloggers would be great…in the meantime, thanks for all the great pics and all the hotness in Casey Land.
    Take care.
